Overview

A bench designed in conversation with the slatted bench tradition of mid-century modern design — particularly the platform bench series by George Nelson. The Quickslat takes that language of parallel hardwood slats on a steel frame and re-examines it through the lens of CNC production: joints that would have required hand-fitting are resolved parametrically, and slat profiles are tuned for efficient nesting on sheet stock.

The result retains the warmth and visual rhythm of the reference while being genuinely buildable from flat material with minimal waste.
